Message	Java is a good idea, I think I'll start a sourceforge later for it, and start writing up the documents. At the moment, I can think of 3 layers of architecture (Consult integration, data management, UI). Java is a good idea for the language, since that way it'll work on Mac as well. I'll definitely keep you guys updated if this is what I do!
